Brief Description:  Rudder Cable Runs and Static Line stored

I also want to get the rudder cables installed in the aft end so I ran them thru the bushings up to the 706 bulkhead. The cable end fits thru the bushing if you just squeeze it oval slightly. I put the cables and the static line in baggies to protect them and stashed them along the sides. Seems like these will be just fine here for a couple years while I finish the airplane.

I have some cable covers coming from West Marine and I'll put those on the rudder cables. I tried 1/8 and 3/16 covers but they fit on the cables too tight. So I order 1/4 covers. I don't want friction between the covers and the cable. These covers are cheap; less than $2 bucks per 6 feet.

UPDATE: I've replaced the 1/8 plastic covers with 1/4 inch. This allows the cable to slide inside the cover. I plan to hold down the cover with a clamp so it doesn't move up near the pedals. I like this idea better because nothing moves next to the pilot and co-pilot.
