While I was on a roll I decided to rivet the -14 length rivet for the shear bars. I just forward rivetted it like the others. It worked fine. I did get some push back and the flush head came up at first. But I hit it with the rivet gun, without the bar and it went right back in. Then I finished pounding the shop head. The shop head is really small as you can see in photo 3.
I did notice that you had to get the flush head of the rivet gun on the top of the rivet, and not on the horizontal bar adjacent, otherwise the forces didn't travel through the rivet.
