Brief Description: Flaps - Drill Hinge On To Wing 2
I clamped a straight edge, in this case a level to the trailing edge of the aileron. The aileron is in neutral position. I positioned the flap so it was 1/8 clearance from the bolt holding the aileron and this gives about a 1/4 in clearance with aileron.
I had to life the flap up a bit to be flush at the trailing edge. It concerned me that I might not have enough flap flange to rivet to. But I proceeded.
In order to get the gap between flap and aileron parallel I had to lift the outboard flap hinge about 1/32 higher than the inboard side. This compounded my worry that I might mis on edge distance for the rivets.
