Brief Description: Removing the top forward fuselage skin
BIG JOB AHEAD, MAJOR MODIFICATION - slash - REDO
I decided I don't like the top forward skin and am replacing it, for two reasons: - I don't like the two notches I cut into the top right above the tip-up canopy hinges. I have learned that they're not necessary unless I'm employing a jettisonable canopy...I am not. I also fear these will allow rain water to leak into a vital electronics-infested part of my sub-panel. - I want to install access panels in this top skin, allowing better access to my electronics. I hate crawling up under the panel to get to these areas.
