Brief Description:  FAB Snorkel, part 4

Well, one of the few (but significantly) frustration things about the Van's RV-7A baffle and FAB Snorkel kits is that they don't really cross-reference each other. It turns out I shouldn't have trimmed the forward edge of the left intake ramp until AFTER installing the FAB, so now I'm undoing a lot of my previous work. The ramp is now too short, so I fabricated a U-shaped doubler to act as a new forward floor.

Now that I have trimmed and riveted it, I'm a bit dissatisfied. I think there's too much gap between the air filter and forward lip, and I think 0.040" sheet is too thin (I'll use 0.063").
