My friend Chris Hand dropped by today as I was fabricating the cylinder #4 baffle wall, so I put him to work filing the edges. I'm using the Vans kit instrument panel blank to fabricate a replacement to the original baffle kit part. The original baffle part is much thinner alclad (around 0.035") but the instrument panel is much thicker. Having read so much on the Van's Air Force site about other builders' finding cracks on the original baffle, I'm following their advice and building this much stronger replacement part.
