Sat in the baggage compartment to mount the flap motor...my first serious time spend in the cockpit!
Used my neighbor's car's battery to power the motor arm in/out to a mid-point position.
Mounted and torqued the lower bolt, and installed the safety wire in accordance with Van's service bulletin.
Then, mounted the upper end, matchdrilled the top bracket to the flap actuator channel for AN470-4 rivets. Had to reshape one end of the top bracket for clearance issues (easy fix).
