Finally, I reinstalled the flap actuator center brace, which run down from the F-706 bulkhead to the cockpit floor and covers the area behind the flap motor. Then cleco'd the flap actuator side covers in place...all the holes MATCHED! With the covers in place, I marked the holes through the covers onto the center brace. Removed it, punched and drilled on the hole marks, rechecked alignment, then installed the platenuts. One more alignment check (all good), then I removed the covers, treated the holes and metal edges, then primed and stored them.
On to the landing weldments.
