Took first steps toward mounting a pitot tube. First, we needed to ID and dry-fit the stiffiner plate. With it clamped in place, we positioned a self-fabricated bracket that we'll rivet to the wing rib. Placed correctly, this bracket will hold the stiffiner flush up against the wing's bottom skin once it's installed. Drill holes, remove, dimple/debur/prime, then rivet the bracket onto the rib. Now, it all waits until the skins are ready to go onto the wing's bottom side (way into the future).
