Zenith documentation permits the extrusion 6ZU1-1 to be secured with either rivets, or AN bolts of the same diameter. After repeated attempts (and failures) to successfully set the rivets, I decided to use AN3 bolts and locknuts.
1. Cleaned all rivet holes. 2. Inserted AN3 bolts in each, of an appropriate length. 3. Placed AN960 washer under bolt head and lock nut. 4. Installed lock nuts, torquing each to 25 inch pounts, per Zenith tab. 5. Marked all nuts with torque seal.
