Brief Description: Install outboard seat belt attach
1. Locate seat belt attachments 6B18-4. 2. Mark locations for AN3 attachment bolts, and AN5 seat belt bolts. 3. Center punch. 4. Pilot drill on press three places each attachment with #40 bit. 5. Mark area to be removed. 6. Rough cut removal area on band saw. 7. Sanded to cut line with belt sander. 8. Rounded end with belt sander. 9. Established and marked positions on gear uprights. 10. Removed gear uprights. 11. Clamped seat belt attachments to gear uprights. 12. Back drill pilot holes with #40 bit on press. 13. Cleco. 14. Opened attachment holes to 3/16" for AN3 bolts. 15. Removed attachments from uprights. 16. Opened seat belt attachment holes to 5/16" for AN5 bolts. 17. Deburred all holes. 18. Cleaned parts, and primed mating surface of seat belt attachments with zinc chromate primer. 19. After curing, bolted seat belt attachments to uprights with AN3-5A bolts, two washers each, and a locknut. 20. Reinstalled uprights in fuselange with clecos.
