Brief Description: Prepare to attach 6B10-2 to side skins
1. Cut wood spacer to maintain upper fuselage separation at location of instrument panel, and temporarily installed. 2. Wrapped fuselage with ratcheting strap slightly forward of instrument panel location. 3. Installed ratcheting strap at firewall. 4, Slowly pulled straps tight, pulling side skins and 6B10-2 into position. 5. Drilled rivet holes to attach side skins to firewall. A. Set reference lines along leading edge of side skin, and marked locations with blue tape. B. Measured distance from leading edge of skin back to front of firewall at each reference location. C. Marked same distance back from firewall on outside of skin, to locate firewall. D. Connected marks on outside surface of skin, establishing firewall location. E. Marked rivet line 10mm back of this location. F. Marked and punched rivet locations pitch 40mm. G. Drilled rivet holes with #40 bit, clecoing as each hole was drilled. H. Back drilled with #30 bit for A4 rivets.
