Brief Description: Fabricate front seat panel stiffners

Part 6B15-4, the front seat panels, have an access hole cut in them to allow access to the back side of the spars. This hole is covered by the spar access cover, 6B18-5. Two assemblies are built, left and right. Other than one being the mirror image of the other, the procedures are identical.
1. Locate parts.
2. Trace area covered by access cover on face of 6B15-4
3. Cut "L" angle stiffners to size, per dwg 6B15.
4. Draw rivet line on "L" angles.
5. Position "L" angles on back of front seat panel, and clamp in place.
6. Back drill key holes with #40 bit, then cleco.
7. Back drill intermediate holes with #40 bit.
8. Open all except corner holes with #20 bit for A4 rivets.
9. Clean and deburr.
10. Prime mating surfaces with zinc chromate primer.
11. Prime back of the spar access cover with zind chromate primer.
12. Allow primer to cure overnight.
13. Assemble "L" angles on back of front seat panel.
14. Cleo in place, and rivet with A4 rivets.
15. Tape spar access cover in place on top of seat panel.
16. Back drill through corner holes with #40 bit.
17. Open corner holes with #10 bit for machine screws.
18. Deburr holes.
19. Pass machine screws through corner holes, and into nut plate on bottom of seat panel.
20. For each of four nut plates, position nut plate diagonal to corner of stiffners.
21. Drill one hole through nut plate mounting corner, cleo, and drill hole in other mounting corner, using #40 bit.
22. Remove screws and nut plates
23. Deburr holes.
24. For all four corners:
A. Cleco nut plate in position through one mounting ear.
B. Insert A3 rivet in other mounting ear, and set rivet.
C. Remove cleo and rivet other ear.
25. Install spar cover with machine screws.
