Brief Description:  Calibrated tach; first formal engine run

When I stopped work the other day, the fuel pressure would slowly drop while the engine was running, until it died. I suspected fuel line cloggage, but intestigation revealed that the hoses were just not tightened enough around the fuel pumps.

When these were tightened, the problem went away. One pump seems very noisy, and is being watched closely.

I calibnrated the tachometer, so it now reas correctly

With everything working, I did the first formal engine run in the test procedure. The maximum RPM I could get was 2,000; the minimum was 850. These seem low and high, respectively. I can adjust the minimum number with the throttle stop;

I need to see if full throttle is really selecting full throttle. The aircraft is standing still, so the number I am getting are static, and in flight numbers will be higher.

Quite a bit of oil leaked around the vacuum pump plate (hand-fabbed). I need to checkthe torque on the bolts there, and possible thighen them. If that doesn't work, sealant, and/or possibly a thicker plate could solve the problem.
