Brief Description:  Attaching the wings

Wing attachment to the fuselage is really in two phases: getting the wings in the fuselage, and installing the final bolts in the carry-through spar. This addresses only the first part of the task.

1) Positioned concrete blocks to support wings during assembly, with a piece of carpet between the two to avoid damage.
2) Using the same tool used during test assembly, inserted port wing into the fuselage, and drove it in place with the rivet gun.
3) Removed the tool, and wiggled the wing in the rest of the way by hand.
4) The wing tended to rest near the bottom of the carry through spar. Forced it up with the rivet run and flush rivet set.
5) Found one bolt hole in the carry through spar in alignment. Inserted a tapered 5/16" bolt, and drove it into the hole with the rivet gun and flush set.
6) Moved wing until a second hole was in position, and repeated step 5)
7) Repeated steps 2)-6) for the starboard wing.
