Brief Description: 1. Epoxied on lower cowl hinges
I mixed up some G-Flex epoxy and mixed in some cotton flox. I applied this with a ½” brush with the bristles cut short to the cowl side in the hinge area. After the hinge was clecoed on I wiped up the excess that squeezed out from around the hinge. The mix was a little thin so the resin sagged in through the weep holes. I am only doing the lower cowl hinges this round. I installed the cowl and rolled the plane outside since it was a beautiful day, and it was warmer in the sun so the epoxy will set quicker.
