Brief Description: Trimed and drilled bottom of Cowl
Wow over 4 hours in the shop today and all I did was trim the bottom and drill for 6 Camlocs! No wonder it is taking me so long to build this thing.
I had strapped the top on and had a nice fit so I did the initial trim and sanding. It took a few iterations to get things where I wanted. My only issue that took me so long was the upper cowl on the left was riding up just a bit when I fit the bottom, I finally realized I was futzing over less than a 1/16 of an inch of movement. Once I realized I was being way too anal on this I drilled and clecoed the holes. By then it was time for dinner, I really need to keep my perspective with this stuff, I mean I want to build a nice airplane but I don’t plan to try and win any awards. At this rate I might get the cowl done this year!!!!!!!!!.
Lots of on and off to get the fit
Right side after drilling
Left; a tiny gap here, if I push to remove it the top cowl moves up just about 1/32+" I know!!
