Back from the work that makes the money, I go to work on the plane again. I have to fix some oblong holes I have from my initial skirt fitting. I marked the holes and then mixed up some Flow and resin into a peanut butter consistency. I filled the holes and left to dry.
Looking over the canopy lower edge at how I want to run the glue line I noticed an imperfection in one of only 7 holes I drilled in the canopy, I used these holes to hold the canopy before gluing and have used them to hold the upper part of the skirt. Well the pulling the cleco in an out I have chipped the edge of one hole and the chip is on the inside of the hole. This is bad because with heating and cooling this could develop into a crack all edges and holes need a nice smooth edge to prevent this. Luckily it looks like if a crack were to develop it would just go down to the lower edge, but I am investigating ways to remove this chipped area, I am thinking of adding some epoxy in there.
Chip is on the inside edge of the hole next to the glue area
