Brief Description:  Part 1: Trim speed switch Pitot, Static and AOA li

Today will be a two part entry. I started today by hooking up the wires to the safety trim speed switch. Then I tackled the PITOT/STATIC and AOA lines. This took a bit of time as I wanted to make sure I could get at the lines to unhook them. At first I was thinking of having enough slack to be able to pull the unit out and then disconnect the lines, but that would leave big bows of tubing behind the panel, I can reach up under the panel and remove the line easily so I just ran things to each instrument without large amounts of slack.

After reading on the internet on how to do a DIY static leak check, I performed a static leak check; I ran the altimeter up to 1000 feet and let it sit for over 5 minutes, there was no loss of altitude. If you have less than 100 foot loss in 1 minute then you pass that static leak check. I still need to add a means for alternate static air but I still need the parts for that.

More next entry.
