Today I reconnected the all the wires to the pilot MIC jack and put the pins in the intercom back to the correct positions and test things out. I could now transmit from the headset. The ICOM radio initially had a loud sequel which I fixed after playing around with some of the settings the 430W works great and seems much more powerful than the A210, at least the transmission reception from the 430 is louder.
The next thing I accomplished was to configure the autopilot servos, not really valid since the controls are not hooked up but they have to be configured to get them to work and I wanted to know thing are working now not later. Well they do work as advertised and all the modes that I can check on the ground work fine. I spent the rest of the day not building but familiarizing myself the functions of the various units. Well you know it is more fun playing with new toys!!
Funny how things work when the wires are correct!!
