Brief Description:  Dynon serial plug holder

Good progress today in the shop. I started by making a holder for the ubiquitous number of serial connector used to update the various Dynon electronics. It seems that even though the instruments are connected via a network each one needs its own connection for updates. So my idea it to mount dummy 9 pin connectors that match the interment connector. This will get fixed under the panel in a easy to reach location. When it is time to update it is a simple matter of pulling the appropriate connector out and hooking it up to the laptop.

Next I terminated the wires to the left sub panel switches and the one light that is the Starter Armed indicator. After lace tying this bundle of wires I switched on the power. I hooked up a test light to the wire that goes to the start relay to test the continuity of the Smart Start System. Pushing the “arm” button lights up the indicator light and makes the start button on the stick active. Pushing the button lights up my test light so I know it is working as advertized. The arm function times out like it is supposed to which disable the start button. After this test I began work on the right side switches.
