Brief Description:  DSAB bus Hub

I have been doing lot of work but not stuff I like to log the time of. I needed to add a pins to a couple for items. While I had the books out I checked each connector and mapped out exactly what had pin and what did not. There are lots of options with these things and I wanted to make sure things were set up the way I wanted them. Of course this took a fair amount of time, old eyes!

The main panel is designed around Dynon equipment, these things network to each other via a 2 wire transmission line (“A” and “B”), and they all need to be interconnected. I took a 25 pin D-sub connector and soldered the top row of pins together and the same with the bottom row. I now have essentially a bus bar that I can use to hook the “A” and “B” wires from each Dynon component into the other side of the connector to tie things all together. Most guys just us slices or a two terminal strip and then attach all the items via ring terminals. The ring terminals seem big and clunky for this application so I am going to try this idea, I will keep the wires long so I can flex to the terminal idea late if needed.

I like this idea in that I can isolate all the Dynon boxes from the network by just pulling the connector. There will be times when updating the software on these things that I might need to do this isolation operation. Time will tell.
