Well I took yesterday off; I did drive up to Seattle to pick up the Sika glue.
I am losing sleep trying to figure out if I am doing the canopy correctly. The red guide line is 2 inches from the aft part of the frame and I don’t know why it is so far off! I have just trimmed past the forward guide line and I am close. I have read that many guys will make the big cut a little sooner than the plans call for that way the individual part are easier to work with.
I made the cardboard guide and installed it and then made the big cut. I was still anxious but I decided that if I tube it up I can always get another one, it only take money. Well the cut went OK; it is not great I was not as steady as I thought I so there are some areas of unevenness.
I spent the last two and a half hours trying to clamp the canopy to the frame and for the life of me I can’t get it to all lie down. I really think I need to move the thing more forward. I was really getting irritated to I called it a day.
