Wow a lot to catch up on, it seems like it has been forever since I worked on the plane. I volunteered to show my project to our local EAA chapter. The bad part is I have not worked on the plane in the last few days, but the good part is my shop is back in clean organized shape. I have two COMANT VHF antennas and the COMANT Shark Fin transponder antenna. I wanted to install the doubler plates and get them riveted in while it is still easy to flip the fuselage. Well the antenna came with no instructions or templates for laying out the mounting holes. I managed to find a file online that has some general installation instructions was well as data on the hole sizes and spacing. I sat down at the computer and with Turbo CAD started to work on a template that I can used to drill the holes. There is a gasket but I thought it too flimsy to rely on for drilling holes.
NOTE: Photos added later after I test fit the antennas in the hole pattern. I wanted to make sure they all fit before I drilled holes in the bottom skin.
