Brief Description:  Made flap arm cover from template

I removed the roll bar today to deburr all of the holes; it will get installed later but with it off it will make more room working on the instrument panel. I then deburred all of the instrument panel parts. I really need to prime a lot of parts but I just did not feel like doing that today. I still needed to make a cover that will go over the flap actuator arm. I have a blue print for on that I got off of VAF I think. I glued the template to a piece of .025 sheet aluminum and it to shape. I fine tune the shape with the bench sander. I then used a small bender I bought months ago from Harbor Freight tools for 18 bucks. It worked like a charm. I figured I would make a mess on my first attempt but I am happy with my results with the first one. I will not drill for nut plates into the arm rest and aft bulkhead until I have had a chance to check the fit with the flap motor installed.

The cover will keep the passenger from getting grease from the flap actuator arm on them. This cover is not in the plans but one of those good ideas I picked up from other builders
