Brief Description:  Continued brake pedal extensions

Well trying to bend the 1/8” aluminum in my vice was not going to work so I plan on going out today to find someplace in town to do the bend. I had to make a new blank to make up for the one I messed up yesterday. After making the blank I headed out to a sheet metal shop that did some work for me a few years back. They made the bend while I watched, I had a gauge made up with the angle I wanted. Best of all it was done in like 5 minutes at no charge! Later on in the afternoon I laid out and drilled the lightening holes with a Uni-bit. After that I made up the foot pads that will go onto the extensions and then I laid out the rivet pattern for them. I inserted some AN470 rivets to see how I like the look. Some of the extensions I have seen use flush rivets but my thought is the universal head rivets will make sort of a tread pattern. There is way more rivets than needed to hold the parts together but I wanted the tread pattern look. I still have to decide how I want to attach the extension to the brake pedal. At this point I think I will just use AN470s all around. I clamped the extension in place and snapped a few pictures. I laid out the rivet patter for the attachment of the extension to the brake pedal but ran out of time before I could drill the holes. I am out of town for a few days for work so I will tackle this when I return.
