Brief Description:  Fit rear pedal idler arm. L/R upper console suppo

I spent a little time this morning on the left idler arm for the rear seat pedals. I called Van’s because my upper bracket would not sit flush on the longeron it would get riveted to and still line up with the hole in the gear weld mount. If I riveted it in place it would take a good bit of force to get the bolt through. Gus at Van’s agreed that I could put the upper bracket in a vice and bend it enough so that when riveted flush the bolt would line up with the lower hole in the weld mount. I then had interference with the lower console support, rather than trim the already then support I ground about 2/32 off the lower part of the idler arm so it would sit a little lower. I may need to add a washer on the upper part but now I have no interference.

Later on in the day I riveted the nut plates to the two supports for the right upper console and left throttle console. I clecoed the supports to the outer skin but will rivet them later when the lower consoles are complete. I then drilled the holes in the throttle mount and cover and riveted in the nut plates. While I had the squeezer out and set for nut plates I prepared and riveted the nut plates to the front seat ramp.

I could not resist, so I mounted the throttle to the throttle mount and clecoed it to the support. Far from flying but hey, I have engine controls now.
