Brief Description: Floor panel stiffeners and rear seat hinge
I continued my work on the floor panels. I ordered new flap bearing blocks so I can’t continue with the drilling of the holes until I make the new blocks with the holes in the correct position.
With the floor stiffeners in place I lined up the rear seat hinge and then drilled all of the holes to the proper size. There are a couple of holes in the hinge and stiffeners common to the hinge that are #40 otherwise they are all drilled to #30. I also had to make a small shim out of .025 to go under the end of the hinge on the right side. The floor panels overlap there and the shim levels the hinge across this seam. After drilling I deburred all of the stiffeners. I will wait to deburr the floor panels until after the flap blocks are drilled. I want the blue plastic on for protection until I am ready to prime the floors and ready things for primer. Not much more done today other than reading and highlighting the sections in the plans ahead of me. It sure seems like there is not much more to get the fuselage done. I think I will be ordering the finish kit soon.
