Brief Description:  2. Installed front NACA vent

The last task was to proseal on the NACA vent used to catch fresh air and route it to the cockpit. There is one on the front left side of the fuselage for the front seat and one under the right wing that gets air routed to the back seat. Some make a retainer ring and use screws and or rivets to hole the bent in place. I wanted a nice clean look and decided to use ProSeal to seal mine, no screws or rivets.

I scuffed the side of the plane and the vent and then cleaned things up so it has the best chance of good adhesion. After mixing up the proseal I buttered the inside edge of the vent then stuck it in place. I used some tape to hold it in place while it sets up. It looks OK as is but I plan to mix some micro balloons and blend the vent to the fuselage to smooth out the airflow going down the vent, which will come later.

Not a bad day, replaced a leaking water pipe, worked on the plane and I had lunch with my wife!
