Brief Description:  Part 1: Front floor modification

Today ended up being more time spent on the fuselage vice the electrical system. I wanted to put the front floor in to make sure the wire bundles I tied yesterday would not interfere with the foot wells. I decided to take this time to make a modification to the front floor I have been meaning to make. The plans call for the front floor to go under the forward two bolts of the control mount. This means that every time you want to take the front floor out, you have to take the bolts that hold the control mount in place out. I did not like this so I cut a notch in the aft side of the front floor to clear the two bolts. I already drilled 3 holes in the aft control mount to hold the rear console I made. I had tapped these holes but with this modification I am making I just drilled them out for # 8 screws and match drilled the floor and installed nut plates; so now the 3 holes not only hold the rear console but also the floor.
