Brief Description:  Solved friction in control mount

Last day of work for the month, progress still seems slow but hey one day at a time. I still needed to solve the friction in the control column. I tried a new tact as I am certain the bearings are aligned properly. With the bearing tight I loosened the bolts holding the aft control mount in place; this removed the binding causing the friction somewhat. I then saw the forward right hole of the control mount was not aligned with the plate nut, I opened this hole up some to better align the holes. This helped some more but still there is some binding. After playing with tightening and loosening the aft control mount bolts it seemed the angle of the mount was the issue. I placed an AN3 thin washer under the two aft mount bolts and tightened everything down and everything is totally smooth.

Now that the control column rotates freely I hooked up the rear stick base to the forward and aft push rods. Before I installed the front stick I needed to cut it to length. This entailed getting the Infinity grips out. I cut the front stick and drilled the holes and the notch required to fit the grip. A rough test fit tells me the stick will just clear the panel, no room for finger on top of the stick but then none should be required. It is time for Trick or Treat so I called it a day.
