Brief Description: Cleocoed on skin to structure, to evaluate bend
After I clecoed the skin to the frame I measure with a metal ruler to see how the rudder bend fit. It has I nice trailing edge finish but is cupped in the middle by a few 32nds. My biggest issue is with the bottom trailing edge, the skin is nice on one side but he other is kind of out of whack. I am not sure how this can happen. It is almost as if the bend from the factory is not exactly centered. I plan to email Van’s to see if this will cause any issues. The skin clecoed onto the frame easily so I don’t the there are any issues with things being forced too much. We will see what they have to say.
Just a little cupped, this is the worst
This side is nice
The opposite side does to flow well to the trailing edge.
