Well these are the first skin rivets I have done. The instructions have you rivet the skin along the fwd spar and middle rib, then attach the rear spar and use a squeezer to rivet the rivets at the edges. I completed the interior rivets today. I will wait to rivet the edges as I would like the local EAA technical counselor to take a look at my work and give me any course corrections I might need. Hopefully I can get that done today or tomorrow. I really want to complete the VS, so at least I can say I have one piece of the plane complete. There are a few shots of my work. I also asked Anita to take a shot of me working; I hear the FAA likes to see these photos, sort of proves you did your own work instead of paying someone to do the work. I will have to get started on the next part; I have to decide whether to do the rudder next and continue with the vertical part of the tail or do the Horizontal Stabilizer. The instructions actually have you start with the HS, so I might do that next.
