Brief Description: Finished deburring the skin and started dimples
Sorry no pictures today, I only worked an hour on the plane today. I finished de-burring the holes on the VS skin and started to dimple the holes. It was time for dinner and I was tired so I knocked off for the day. Hopefully I will have some time tomorrow to get more done. I still need to de-burr the edges of the skin before it is ready for assembly.
This is the first real use of the DRDT-2 dimplier. I must say it was nice; I am not sure how some manage with the C frame and a hammer. I found that I needed to hold the skin with one hand while I worked the lever. I am not sure how difficult it would have been to hold the skin with one hand and whack with a hammer. The lever of the DRDT-2 is easy to work and most of all it is quiet. I think this tool will turn out to be money well spent.
