Brief Description:  Connected big cables

I made a new tab for the main power connection at the CB bus, I found a source for the 6 gauge lug that will have the #10 sized hole so I can use a AN3 bolt instead of the AN4, the ΒΌ inch bolt is just larger than required for this application. I may end up using the 8 gauge cable that came with my wire harness kit; I am consulting with some other builders. 8 gauge wire has a max continuous amp limit of 57 amps. I will have a 60 amp alternator but my maximum continuous load should never get above 47 amps and my normal load will be more in the range of 20-25 amps.

I cut a hole in the firewall for the cable that connects the battery relay to the starter relay. It is supported by a grommet I have a stainless steel cover that will go over the firewall side to protect the grommet from the engine heat, there will be some fireproof sealer that will do there as well. The last thing I did was attach the forest of tabs to the firewall, anything that needs a ground will run back to this spot, except for items that are too far away or do not pose any noise making tendencies. All of the major parts for the electrical system are in except for the switches. After the switches are in place I can start connecting wires. I need to finalize my caution panel light on the main and get them cut, then I will need to paint and label the panel. This has to be done before I can start running wires.
