Brief Description:  Circuit breakers and doide

Back to work on the electrical system today, the “Tee” fitting I need for the purge return line is on the way in the mail. The new diode arrived in the mail, I had to buy a smaller diode, the first one was oversized for my system and the heat sink would not fit in the place I wanted to put it. I made up a CAD drawing of the CBs complete with labels, I will use this drawing to make the decals for the labels, but since it is full sized I can use it to layout the CBs on the panel. The diode will be bolted to the door that the CBs go on, you can see from the photo how the door will lay open for easy access. It will also make the wire runs very short. The diode connects the main bus to the essential avionics bus. Essentially it will attach the middle row of CBs to the lower row.

I did not plan my hinge pin well in the circuit breaker door, it was one long pin and once the console was in place there was no way to remove the pin. I cut off a couple of the hinge eyes and cut the hinge into two pieces, now if I need to I can remove the door without taking out the entire console. After that was done I did a test fit of the panel, I sat in the plane to see how the layout worked and to judge the label size for readability. You can see in the photo the CBs will be easily reached in flight. The last thing I got to was to draw some lines for drilling the CB holes; it was dinner time so I knocked off for the day. This has not been a very productive month as far as what you can see getting done. I have spent many hours on the electrical system design and getting the CAD drawings done. There are still many circuits I need to draw up.
