Brief Description:  Explaination and pictures of push rods

I have added pictures to show some observers (family) where some of the parts will be installed. There is a diagram of the aileron bell crank and you can see a large push rod and small push rod. The large ones run from the cockpit stick to the bell crank and the small one (white rods in photo) runs from the bell crank to the aileron. Move the stick moves the large rod which moves the bell crank which moves the small rod which then moves the aileron. You can see the close up of the rod end bearing, the bolt will hold things together but the bearing allows things to move nice and smoothly. The small rod bearing holders will get welded by a friend, I decided I like the weld idea verses the rivets. You can see in the diagram the plans also leave an option to just run two rivet 90 degrees from one another. My friend is a recently retired welder and wants to help so I am letting him do the welding, the rods will look very professional after he is done with them.
