Brief Description:  My RV Factory

OK some of you are going to say, hey why spend so much time on the benches, build the damn airplane. Well I already had these benches. I am a bit of a do it your self kind of guy and I have accumulated a few tools, mostly wood working stuff. For the "Factory" I just resurfaced my benches and cleaned up all the sawdust.

My shop will be in half of a two car basement level garage. I am telling you the basement level is ideal since the duct work for the house runs along the garage ceiling. This means the garage stays 10-15 degrees cooler than the house in winter and a good 10 degrees cooler in the summer. When it is really cold I think I will need a space heater of some sort.

In the pictures you can see the drill press, DRDT-2 dimplier (very nice). The blue tool box is for aircraft stuff. I figured that eventually the project will move to a hanger (TBD) so I wanted a separate chest for the airplane stuff.

I still need to sound proof the compressor and run some air line over my work area. I plan to move the 4x5 bench and use the house floor supports for a Horizontal stab jig.

I have wire racks from Costco for supply and parts storage. I like them since things are visible and no place for moisture to get trapped.
