Brief Description:  Front baffle work

Well I am back started on the engine baffles; it took nearly 4 hours to fit the right front baffle. The instructions make you think you should take a little off at a time but I eventually found that the front baffles are made way longer than they need to be. I would trim a little install them, put on the lower cowl to check the fit, mark for the cut then remove everything and repeat. I think I hate the work iterative! I eventually had the baffle fit so it just clears the fiberglass inlet. Before I go further I need to find out how far from the cowl inlet the aluminum baffle needs to go. The plans show a clearance of about 1/16” but I have read that the lower cowl is near impossible to install with such a tiny space. The rubber seal can fill a sizeable gap. I sure want to minimize paint chips from installing the cowling.

After learning from the right side it only took me an hour and a half to rough fit the left side. I still need to do the bends to get the final fit.
