Brief Description:  New Baggage door

I continued the fitting of the wing tips. I first read up on the Archer Ant that will go in the right wing. I wanted to make sure how to orient it along with the aluminum strips I am adding for reinforcement. The antenna needs metal contact with the plane; it will get this by getting the nut plates for the wing attachment through it.

I fit and drilled the aluminum strips for the (L) wing tip and then left the epoxy to dry. I had to modify the strip to clear the aft rib in the wing tip.

I figured the ProSeal had plenty of time to cure so I removed the tape and riveted on the baggage door inner skin then drilled the hinge to the upper skin. It took a bit of time but I removed the lock and mechanism from the old door and installed it on the new door. This door is not perfect but far better than my first door turned out, it will just have to do.

I spent the last bit of time getting ready for tomorrow. I read up on how to install the latch pin block for the baggage door and how to install the remote compass bracket that will attach to the right wing.
