Brief Description:  Installed Pitot, wired roll servo started emp. fai

I actually reached my goal for today. I wanted to get the Pitot/AOA tube installed as well as the roller servo wired. The last thing on my schedule was to get a good start on the fit of the empennage fairing.

I started the day testing my new LED landing and taxi light. It is the AveoMaxx, pricy but I like the position lights so much I went with these, they should last longer than I will fly the plane. I only received one of two lights so I will post pictures when I start to install them.

The pitot hook up went very smoothly hopefully I will not have any leaks. The same was true for the roll servo. I used DB-9 connector without the shell and zip ties to hold the two halves together. I wrapped things in silicone tape to support the wires going into the pins.

The upper tail fairing from the factory fit kind of lame, but it is going better than I thought I will cut out some of the front and lay up this section and extend it round the leading edge of the stabilize to just past the first lower hole. This should allow me to not have any holes in the upper fuselage skin. This is basically a copy of what I see many other builders doing. I plan to stop at a flight worthy rough fit. I can make it pretty after I start flying!

With no more wires hanging under the plane I took the opportunity to pull the plane out and sweep the hangar floor. It is really looking like and airplane now!
