Brief Description:  Ready work for wing install

Today I continued preparations for fitting the wings. I have a crew set up to come tomorrow. I inspected the bell crank and installed the cotter pin on the main bell crank bolt. I used a drilled bolt and a combination nylock/castled nut. I decided this a couple of years ago but not really sure it is required. I don’t have drilled hardware on the other parts of the bell crank, and frankly it is a tight fit which makes installing the cotters tough. I think I will leave it according to the plans.

One of my F818 push rods had not had the torque set so I did that. I then installed the flap control mount (without the floor). In reading the fitting instructions you have to fit the flaps but also the fairing and you need access under the floor to do this so that is why the floors are left out.

Last thing was to torque all the aileron hardware. I am installing the wings with the aileron already attached which is different than how the plans call for things.
