Brief Description: 1. Laid up lower aft windscreen fairing
Today was a much better day with the fairing work. I sanded most of the flox mix from yesterday off down to the bear metal and cleaned some other spots. This time I cut out 3 layers of BID cloth with the shape I needed. I laid this on moving them up about a ΒΌ each time. After this set for several hours and was not sticky anymore I mixed up some filler and filled in the gap between the skirt and the aft part of the fairing. The side of the fairing now blends well with the skirt. I used a wide spreader to do the filling. We will see tomorrow how this works out. I will sand it down some but then I should be ready to lay the layers that will form the fairing over the upper portion of the windscreen.
