I am waiting on some parts so today was work on odds and ends. I still needed to install the NACA vent on the bottom of the right wing; this is how the back seat gets fresh air. I did not want to glue it like I did the front one because if I ever had to change the hose it would be a real pain. I decided to make a retainer ring with nut plate. I made a gasket out of RTV the night before and I used it on the final installation.
The last thing I did was make a final pass of polish on the canopy tracks and then installed them. They could use a few more runs of polish but I am happy with them for now, besides some winter in the future when I can’t fly I can take them off and do more polish work.
Outside
Inisde: hose conendted, not edge protection on lightening holes hose passes through.
Made RTV gastket by wrapind vent in Glad Wrap and letting it cure.
