I returned from a trip yesterday at 6pm and go out to day at 3 pm so I decided to catch up on the log entry for my last day of work. I worked on how to support the fat wire to the starter, I plan to take the exhaust off but want to know how I will support these wires so I can do that work when the exhaust is off and I have easier access.
I then cleaned away the old inlet port gasket. When I took things apart to make up the throttle and mixture brackets I never cleaned off the old gasket bit. I intended to install the new gasket and fuel servo support but realize I need some high temperature Loctite so that will have to wait.
I then pulled out the Plane Power alternator to install. It was then that I realized the thing comes with a wire harness for the field wires and optional indicator light. I already ran wire from the field switch to the engine but may run this new wire to avoid a butt splice. The last thing was I looked over how to run these wires.
