Brief Description:  Throt/Mix brackets done

Back from my trip and an nice weekend and now back to work, productive day today as I have finished the throttle and mixture brackets for better or worse.

On my trip I decided I should move the cable anchor for the mixture control inboard some to give the cable more clearance from one of the mount supports. After move the anchor and drilling for new rivet holes I cut off the excess and then primed the mixture bracket and anchor.

Next I move onto the throttle bracket, the bracket was at a machine shop for a week to get some flat milled onto the holes for the bolts. I wanted the bracket as far inboard as possible and this puts the bolt hole into the radius of the angle, the flats allow the washer and nuts to sit flush. After deciding on the exact location for the cable anchor I removed the bracket and drilled the anchor to the bracket. With this done I primed the cable anchor. The bracket is made from the anodized part that came with the injection system; I used an Alodine pen to coat the places where I cut into the aluminum.

With the parts all dried I riveted on the cable anchors to each bracket and test fit everything. I am quite happy with the results but this took way too long. Now it is onto the last hole in the firewall and actually connecting the cables to the controls.
