Brief Description:  Firewall items

I moved the engine back on some saw horses and started to install the firewall items. I did one thing on the engine and that was install the VA-128 restrictor fitting that will be used to get the oil pressure. They use a restrictor fitting so that if one of the lines breaks you get a small leak instead of very large one. The line is only used to sense the oil pressure so volume is not a factor.

I drilled the mounting holes for the sensor manifold, this manifold will get oil and fuel lines (I am using 2 of the 3 ports) the sensor screws into one port and then via a wire will send the pressure information to the EFIS. I had to slot the holes in the sensor manifold slightly; the holes I drilled were a tad wider than the holes in the manifold.

Next I drilled and mounted the manifold pressure sensor supplied with my Dynon EFIS/EMS; a line comes off the #3 cylinder to a port I still have to make or buy then a tube will connect to the Dynon manifold sensor. I will also “T” off this line because each P-Mag also needs manifold pressure lines.
