Brief Description: Molex connection to right console
Today I worked on connecting the Molex connections to the right switch console. I had to pull 3 wires that will connect to the instrument LED lights and one to the map light. These wires will some from forward of the panel and I will make connections behind the panel once that is permanently installed.
I had re-painted the CB panel so I had to install the diode and heat sink and make the connections. After setting the CB panel and switch console in place I cut the wires to length and attached the Molex pins to the respective in and out connections. I still have to pin out the small connector but I am happy with the fit. The only thing I would consider now is moving the main power feed further down the bulkhead. It was OK when it was going to tie into the top row bus bar but it could be lower. Things are close up at the top but not touching. I will see how the other wires work out before I make a change. If I do make the change it will require cutting a new hole in the F804 bulkhead and patching the old one over.
