Brief Description:  CB panel fit

Well I am back for working a trip over Christmas and have to catch up on one day or work before I left. I test fit the CB panel and right console together and realized that I need to get behind the panel after it is in place to secure some wires. There is a short part of the panel that is hinged as well but can’t come open due to interference with the brake line above. So I decided to make this panel removable from the hinges. I drilled out the rivets and installed nut plates, now with the CB panel in place first, I can tie the wire bundle in place. The main bundle will need slack to the CB panel can tip out but in flight I don’t want movement in these wires. With the forward part removable I can put the CB panel in its vertical position and zip tie the main bundle to secure it then screw in the forward part to secure it all in place. In hind sight I should have made the main bundle come into the area closer to the hinge point this would have solved this issue.

The last thing I worked on was some support for the wires right at the bus bar. I attached a cushion clamp to the attach point for the bus tie. I was not sure this was a good idea and some thought it was and some not, so while I was on the trip I thought through a bracket idea which I will tackle next.
