Brief Description:  WIre supports for E&E bay

I accomplished a lot today, it was fabrication day. Now that I was good on the battery location I needed to figure out a way to support the wires that will run around the battery. There are wires that will run to the engine compartment and all of the ground wires that go to the forest of tabs on the firewall. I made 4 brackets, two for an upper run of wires and two for the lower run, which will be mainly ground wires. The lower brackets will get little extensions riveted on them; this will elevate the wire for a better run to the grounding tabs. The extensions are something I picked up at an air show from a surplus seller. They are threaded for an AN3 bolt which holds a cushion clamp nicely. I was going to do extension pointing down at first but then decided that just putting the clamp onto the bracket made more sense. I had already drilled for the extension so I ended up with an extra hole in the bracket after installing a nut plate.

The last thing I got to was installing the nut plates to hold a loop on either side of the battery. The battery is bolted down but I thought I would add a Velcro strap as a backup. I plan to do aerobatics and if one of the bolts were to come loose I certainly would not want the battery banging around in there.
